A workshop at the IEEE International Conference on Blockchain and Cryptocurrency 2026
June 5, 2026
Brisbane, Australia.
"AI for Resilient, Responsible DeFi Dynamics (AI-R2D2)" addresses the critical need for advanced AI solutions in the rapidly evolving Decentralized Finance (DeFi) ecosystem.
While DeFi promises transparency and efficiency, its inherent volatility, composability risks, and smart contract vulnerabilities introduce complex challenges demanding robust analytical and decision-making capabilities.
AI is indispensable for navigating many of these unique DeFi dynamics, offering the potential to build a more resilient and responsible future. Our workshop will facilitate scholarly conversations on AI's transformative role in DeFi through enhanced risk mitigation, real-time systemic resilience, the development of intelligent and autonomous governance models, and by providing deeper insights into market dynamics to optimize efficiency.
With this dedicated and integrated focus, the AI-R2D2 workshopfills a crucial gap at IEEE ICBC 2026, providing a timely forum for researchers and practitioners to explore how AI can ensure robust and stable decentralized financial systems.
The AI-R2D2 workshop plans to invite submissions on a wide range of topics related to the application of AI in Decentralized Finance (DeFi), with a particular emphasis on robustness, stability, and ethical considerations.
